Construction Estimator
About C2MG Builders

Primary Responsibilities:
- Responsibilities:
- Prepare and estimate budgetary cost of material, and labor, and procure subcontractor estimates for presentation to client. Develop and maintain relationships with companies, vendors, and contractors.
- Analyze and understand drawing packages and project guidelines.
- Determine what factors of production will influence the cost of a service or product.
- Present prepared estimates to management and clients.
- File documents digitally, following C2MG naming conventions.
- Develop initial construction schedule.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Highly organized and strong attention to detail.
- Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to convey information clearly and concisely.
- Proficient in mathematics and data analysis.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Expertise with analytical tools, such as spreadsheets and database managers.
- Able to read and interpret technical documents.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Well-versed in construction estimating and reading drawings.
- Direct construction knowledge.
- Knowledge of building code.
- Knowledge of Buildertrend a plus.
Pay will be aligned with the candidate’s experience and skills.

What You’ll Do
As a Team Carpenter at C2MG, you’ll play a hands-on role in shaping high-end residential and historic projects. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Project Prep: Plan and lay out construction or renovation projects with accuracy.
- Precision Measuring: Calculate dimensions—height, width, length—for flawless execution.
- Material Mastery: Select the right wood, metal, or other materials for each task.
- Blueprint Expertise: Follow detailed plans or supervisor guidance to bring designs to life.
- Tool Skills: Wield hand tools (chisels, saws, planes) and power tools (drills, sanders) with confidence.
- Construction & Assembly: Join materials using nails, screws, or adhesives, and install features like cabinets, molding, doors, and windows.
- Quality Control: Check your work against top standards every step of the way.
- Specialized Tasks: Set up scaffolding, prep concrete forms, and tackle remodeling projects.
- Precision Craftsmanship: Use levels, framing squares, and surveying tools to ensure everything’s spot-on.
What You Bring
- Experience: 3+ years of carpentry expertise (required).
- Your Own Tools: A professional-grade toolkit you know inside and out.
- Reliable Transport: Dependable vehicle and a valid driver’s license (required) to get to job sites with your gear.

- Experience with Buildertrend (project management/timekeeping) and Bluebeam (PDF editing, take-offs) is a bonus

- A sharp eye for detail and solid note-taking habits
What You’ll Do
- Partner with the Project Manager to guide projects from start to finish
- Assist in building project estimates that keep us on track
- Work with architects, engineers, and subs to handle submittals, RFIs, and key docs
- Keep digital project files organized and up to date
- Track changes and maintain clear, thorough records
- Join project meetings and help capture the details in minutes
- Support change order prep and subcontractor close-outs (warranties, record drawings)
